Christmas is a time of joy and wonder - when our everyday world becomes a winter wonderland, twinkling with the promise of this season. It can be the most wonderful time of the year. However, for those facing complex medical challenges, their first Christmas without someone, or perhaps missing a family member serving overseas, the holidays can be a difficult season.

Our Christmas Decor team recognizes these situations and tries to bring some extra sparkle to the season for those facing difficult days. While we can't change their circumstances, we can do our best to brighten their days through our dynamic decorating team.

Each year we proudly support the following charities with complimentary holiday decorating.

Lighthouse for Grieving Children
If you have seen the Lighthouse for Grieving Children in November each year, bedecked in festive blue lighting, that is us - Christmas Decor of Oakville. Each year we endeavour to help raise awareness and show our solidarity with families navigating their grief. Each twinkling light symbolizes hope, love, and remembrance.

The Darling Home for Kids
We love bringing smiles to children's faces and when we decorate The Darling Home for Kids, we are rewarded beyond measure! These youngsters are facing big challenges, and it is our joy to sprinkle our holiday magic throughout this space.

Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House (Halton-Peel)
Cancer is a life-changing label and for those facing that battle we want them to focus on overcoming the everyday challenges presented. Our goal is to create a beautiful space that allows users of Wellspring's cancer support programs to experience a moment of holiday wonderment.

Military Family Resource Centre
Don McQueen, franchise owner of Christmas Decor of Oakville, has two brothers in the military, each of whom have been deployed over Christmas in the past, and knows that military deployments can be challenging to families. Periods of separation can be especially difficult to manage when children are involved. Christmas Decor of Oakville supports military families that have a loved one deployed over the holidays. Working with the local Military Family Resource Centre, we arrange to work with those families to decorate their homes for the festive season. It means a lot to these families that someone is thinking about their sacrifices.
